Some Rambling and our Sam Moore Vintage Bergere Chair Re-do

If you have followed my blog, you know that I have been busy redoing the Living area at the house.
I am happy to say, I think I am about finished.
After Paint and new Chair!

Before Paint!!!!
I got the urge to paint the one large wall that the TV sits on, because every time I took a picture of the room, the wall looked so stark.
One evening while visiting a local Starbucks, I noticed their color scheme and I liked it.
Westlake Ace Hardware had their pint samples of paint on sale during the month and I thought it was a perfect time to take advantage of this.

Gosh, I remember when I could pick a paint color and just walk away and be so happy.
Doesn't seem to be that way anymore.
I am not sure if it is because we have so many color choices or I am getting old!!!

Fast forward to about 5 pints of paint, and I find the perfect color.
It goes by the name "Milk Chocolate"....and I love it.
The official Velspar name is Chocolate Milk.  :)

Painting the wall was a breeze after I got the proper ladder!
I really am pleased with the color.

I had talked with my friend Phil, and asked if he had any chairs that I might be interested in.
He told me he had a really nice chair and ottoman set.
I am liking the idea of this change in the room.
He brings the chair by and I fall in love with it.
He also had bought a flame stitch fabric he had planned on using for the duo.
I think I like it, but wanted to make sure before I commit.

Wag the chair and ottoman home and it looks "perfect".
And that flame stitch....I love it!!!

The color of the wood on the chair and ottoman were very dated, and I didn't hesitate to whip out some CeCe Caldwell Chalk Paint and paint the two pieces.

Wow, what a difference that made.
Now on to the upholster...so he can work his magic.

Phil had told me he thought a tag on the underside of the chair said it is a Sam Moore chair, and sure enough, it was!

The chair and ottoman are finished, and they have been moved into the living room.

I am really pleased with the outcome.

Yes, I have been a busy girl, and I think the room really has made a great transformation!

Don't you just love it when a plan comes together....I sure do!
